The Adkinson Charity
Founded by Will of John Adkinson who died in 1711, which established two
Charities:
The Almshouse Charity
The Charity for Poor Widows
Following difficulties maintaining the properties, they were sold and
demolished.
The Adkinson Charity was merged with the Cooper Almshouse Charity to form The
Cooper and Adkinson Almshouse Charity.
