Leek Almshouses, Staffordshire
The Almshouses in Fountain Street were erected in 1892 at a cost of £4,000 by
Miss Isabella Carr in memory of her Sisters Ellen and Rosanna Carr and were
endowed by Miss Isabella Carr, each inmate receiving 10s per week. They are for
three aged females of Leek who have been in domestic service, and are under the
management of Trustees.
