Guy's Almshouses, Tamworth

Erected in 1673 on a piece of land at Lower Gungate purchased by Thomas Guy (London Guy's Hospital). The Alms were erected to house seven poor Women. Guy later erected accommodation to provide for men at a cost of £200. Some of the rooms were rebuilt in 1827, but the whole site was demolished in 1913. New almshouses were built on the site and retained the name

Molesley Almshouses, Walsall

Located in Bath Street, for eleven Widows, were erected by the Corporation in 1825 in lieu of an ancient annual payment called Molesley Dole, of a penny a piece to all inhabitants of this and the adjoining parish of Rushall which, until this date, had been made annually on New Years Day.

Harper's Almshouses, Walsall

For six Women, who are nominated by the Vicar, are also in Bath Street, and were rebuilt in 1793. The income amounts to about £41 yearly, £40 of which is distributed, the surplus being applied to the repair of the building.

The Memorial Cottage, Walsall

Located at Caldmore, erected in 1868 by Edward Marsh esq., and Mrs T. Lyon, are for twelve couples or Widows.

The Henry Boys Almshouses, Walsall

Located in Wednesbury Road, consists of a block of twelve neat red brick cottages, in the Elizabethan style, erected and endowed by Henry Boys of Walsall, in 1886, at the cost of £10,000. The houses will hold 24 aged couples or Widows.
