County Lunatic Asylum
Also called Asylum, Fareham.
Established under Provisions of Pauper Lunatics Act 1848 and the first patients
were admitted in 1852. It later became known as Knowle Mental Hospital, Fareham.
Knowle Hospital closed in 1996.
