Lancashire Dispensaries
Ormskirk Dispensary and Cottage Hospital
The Dispensary was founded in 1703 and the Hospital in 1896.
Situated on Hants Lane, Ormskirk, it was closed in 1990.
Ardwick and Ancoats Dispensary
Founded in 1828, the Hospital opened in 1873 in Old Mill Street, Manchester. Prior to
the NHS this hospital was approved for the treatment of venereal disease.
It was later renamed Ancoats Hospital
