Ethel Fenwick
Matron of St Bartholomew's Hospital, 1881, lengthened and improved the Nurse
training. She campaigned for Nurse registration. She was supported by the new
British Nurses Association, and wanted the introduction of a nationally
recognised certificate for Nurses.
