Poole Workhouse and Poor Law Union
Board Day, every alternate Monday, at the Board Room, Poor Law Institution, Longfleet.
The Union comprises the following Parishes:
Canford Magna,
Kinson,
Lytchett Matravers,
Lytchett Minster and
Poole
The area is 25,326 acres; rateable value Lady Day, 1914 £230,922; the population in 1911 was 45,190.
Chairman of the Board of Guardians G. Curtis, Hill House, Market Street, Poole.
Clerk to the Guardians and Assessment Committee, Philip Edward Lionel Budge, 139 High Street.
Poor Law Institution, Longfleet, built in 1835 and since several times enlarged and will now hold 250 inmates.
