The population in 1911 was 17,258; area 92.492 acres; rateable value, Lady Day 1915, £99,119.
The Board meet alternate Thursdays at 11am at the Poor Law Institution.
Chairman of the Board of Guardians, Gerald D. Bond, Holme, Wareham.
Clerk to the Guardians and Assessment Committee, Edward Seymer Clark, South Street.
The Poor Law Institution, built in 1835, is of brick and will hold 250 inmates; the present number in 1915 is 58.
