Winchcomb Union
The Board of Guardians meet alternate Saturdays at the Workhouse at 2pm. The
area of the Union is 55,507 acres, rateable value in 1901 £61,191 and
population in 1901 8,825.
The Union comprises 20 parishes;
Alderton & Dixton, Alstone, Beckford, Bishop's Cleeve, Buckland &
Laverton, Charlton Abbotts, Didbrook, Dumbleton, Gotherington, Great Washbourne,
Guiting Temple, Hailes, Hawling, Little Washbourne, Lower Guiting, Pinnock &
Hyde, Prescott, Roel, Snowshill, Southam & Brockhampton, Stanley Pontlarge,
Stanton, Stanway, Sudeley Manor, Toddington, Winchcomb, Woodmancote, Wormington
& Cutsdean.
