Christchurch Parish Workhouse  
The Overseers of Christchurch Parish erected a Poorhouse in 1764

Christchurch Union Workhouse
Erected 1880 in Fairmile Road from designs by C.C. Creeke and Edgar H. Burton on the pavilion system. It was since enlarged to provide accommodation for 250 inmates.
