The Union comprises the following places:

  • Hartley Wintney; 

  • Hawley with Minley;

  • Mattingley with Hazeley; 

  • Odiham; 

  • Rotherwick; 

  • South Warnborough; 

  • Winchfield; 

  • Yateley.   

The Union Workhouse erected in 1871 was a large building of brick. Situated in Winchfield Parish it could accommodate 120 inmates. An Infectious Disease Unit was added and they later became Winchfield Institution which changed to Winchfield Hospital.
