Ormskirk Union Workhouse
Founded in 1834 by the Ormskirk Board of Guardians.
It was taken over by Lancashire County Council in 1930 and called the Ormskirk
County Hospital and Institution.
It was renamed Ormskirk and District General Hospital under the NHS.
