RYE UNION

The Union workhouse is newly built, & is for the 11 adjoining parishes. Robert Loveless, master; Mrs Sarah Loveless, matron.

The Rye Union Workhouse was erected in 1843 and comprised the following Parishes:

Breckley Brede Broomhill East Guldeford Icklesham
Iden Northiam Peasmarsh Playden Rye
Udimore St Thomas the Apostle Winchelsea
