TICEHURST UNION

The Union workhouse contains 120 inmates.

Here is a public Lunatic Asylum, with 100 inmates, & a private Asylum with 20.

The Union Workhouse was erected 1836 from designs by the Architect Sampson Kempthorne, and comprises the following Parishes:

Bodium Burwash Etchingham Frant Lamberhurst
Salehurst Ticehurst Wadhurst
