Bradford on Avon Union
The population of the Union in 1881 was 10,860, and rateable value £49,360.
The Board of Guardians meet every alternate Monday at the Town Hall at 1.45
during Summer and 11am during Winter. The Workhouse, Avoncliffe, Westwood
Parish, will hold 315 inmates. Clerk to the Guardians (1899) and Assessment
Committee, Superintendent Registrar, Alfred Bevan, 16 St Margaret Street.
