Thirsk Poor Law Union and Workhouse

The workhouse in Sutton Road, is a structure of brick, erected in 1834, and enlarged in 1886, for 123 inmates.

Thirsk Union comprises of 52 parishes/townships with a population in 1901 of 12,710.
