DONCASTER Poor Law Union and Workhouse
Doncaster is the centre of an union, under the new Poor Law Act, consisting of about 50 townships, & the workhouse, a large brick
building, is situated in Hexthorpe Lane; it is also a polling station at the election of members to represent the West Riding.
