Bangor Workhouse and Poor Law Union

Bangor and Beaumaris Poor Law Union was officially declared 4th May 1837

By 1861 the Union had a population of 36,302 and an area of 108,280 acres.

The Workhouse (known as Glanadda Workhouse) was erected in Bangor, but the buildings have now been demolished.
