The Parish of Llandysilio is included in the above Union, which comprises 24 other parishes, with a total population of above 18,000 persons. The poor house of the Union is situated near Llanfyllin.
In the year 1899/1900 we find that the parish of Llandysilio contributed £95-4s-5d to the funds of that Union and received only £16-9s-0d for the relief of their poor.
